I am a fan of Google and any software they release because it usually revolutionizes the software. So I was excited to download my well awaited copy of Chrome, Google's first ever browser.
Looks: The looks are sleek, not much integrated into the browser on first glance. You have your basic controls back, forward, predictive input.
Pros: The pages seemed to load abnormally fast, you can type any search term in the URL and it will automatically search Google pages "No need to go to Google for a simple search", Everytime you restart the browser it lists your recently visited sites in a new format "Which is great unless your hiding something":?
Cons: Number ONE "No Home button" you can't just click home and go back to your start page, in fact a lot of the control buttons we have gotten used to are not there! There are not many indicators on what you are browsing, no knowledge of the site is displayed, also there's no Find tool, "Ctrl+F" one of my favorite tools! They have a version but it only displays the first found, whats the point!
Results: Although Google Chrome shows potential, at this point Mozilla's newest release Firefox 3 takes the cake in my opinion. It's a much more robust browser, giving more options while maintaining a sleek image and providing a fast, reliable browsing experience!
